Alfred Lambremont Webre, J.D., M.Ed. is an author, futurist, international lawyer, peace advocate, environmental activist, space activist, and radio talk show host who has worked for years to prevent the weaponization of space. Alfred is the International Director of the Institute for Cooperation in Space (ICIS) [www.peaceinspace.com], dedicated to transforming the permanent war economy into a peaceful, cooperative, sustainable, New Energy-based Space Age society, preventing the weaponization of space, and supporting cooperation amongst Life in the Universe. He is a co-architect of the Space Preservation Treaty to ban all space-based weapons and warfare in space, and establish an independent outer space peace-keeping agency to monitor outer space and enforce the ban.
Alfred has been a delegate to the UNISPACE Outer Space Conference and NGO representative at the United Nations (Communications Coordination Committee for the UN; UN Second Special Session on Disarmament).
Alfred is known as the founding father of Exopolitics, the new political science of outer space, the science of relations between human society and other intelligent civilizations. His book EXOPOLITICS: POLITICS, GOVERNMENT AND LAW IN THE UNIVERSE [www.universebooks.com] is the evolution of Alfred’s groundbreaking work as a Futurist at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), where in 1977 he directed a proposed extraterrestrial communication study project for the Carter White House.
Exopolitics turns the dominant view of our Universe upside down. Exopolitics reveals that we live on an isolated planet in the midst of a populated, evolving, and highly organized inter-planetary, inter-galactic, and multi-dimensional Universe society. It explores why Earth seems to have been quarantined for eons from a more evolved Universe society. Exopolitics suggests specific steps to end our isolation, by reaching out to the technologically and spiritually advanced civilizations that are engaging our world at this unique, challenging time in human history.
Alfred is a graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School in International Law, and
a Fulbright Scholar in International Economic Integration (Uruguay). He has taught in
the Economics Department at Yale University, and Constitutional Law in the Government
Department at the University of Texas. Alfred has been General Counsel of the
New York City Environmental Protection Administration, and environmental consultant
to the Ford Foundation.
Alfred is a Member of the Pro Tem Committee of the Kuala Lumpur International War Crimes Tribunal [www.perdana4peace.org]. He has been a Speaker at 2007 Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Conference; the Canadian Conference on Preventing Crimes Against Humanity [www.aplconference.ca] and a Sponsor and Moderator at the World Peace Forum, held in Vancouver, BC CANADA (23-28 June 2006). He is on the Board of Advisors of the New Energy Movement [www.newenergymovement.org] and the Exopolitics Institute [www.exopoliticsinstitute.org].
Alfred has deep experience with ground-breaking media. His program, “The Instant of Cooperation” was the first live radio broadcast in history between the USA and the then Soviet Union (now the Russian Federation), was carried live by Gosteleradio (USSR) and NPR (USA) satellite in 1987, and was nominated for an award to be given at the U.N. General Assembly. Alfred is co-host of The Monday Brownbagger, an innovative public affairs talk show on Vancouver Coop Radio CFRO 102.7 FM. He is host of EXOPOLITICS RADIO [www.exopoliticsradio.com], a weekly public affairs program on relations with advanced Extraterrestrial civilizations that is heard in over 60 countries and 492 cities around the world.
