Re:    CANADA: Call for a New Investigation into the Events of September 11, 2001 

We are writing this letter to call your attention to evidence that has been gathered by many experts surrounding the horrific events of September 11, 2001 in the United States of America.  There are countless numbers of citizens from all walks of life including hundreds of engineers, professors, architects, military officers, lawyers, law enforcement and government officials, entertainment and media professionals, 9/11 survivors and family members who have serious questions concerning the legitimacy of The 9/11 Commission Report.  It is a severe injustice, not only to the thousands of victims of that event, but also to the hundreds of thousands of victims of subsequent wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan to ignore this evidence.    

Evidence

Dr. Steven E. Jones, Former Professor of Physics, of Brigham Young University, has written an extensive scientific analysis of the collapse of the World Trade Centre (WTC) Buildings 1, 2 and 7.  Here is a summary of his evidence:

•    WTC7 which was not hit by an airplane and had only a few small scattered fires collapsed rapidly and nearly-straight-down symmetrically into its own footprint on September 11, 2001.
•    There were twenty-four huge steel support columns inside WTC 7 as well as huge trusses, arranged non-symmetrically, along with some fifty-seven perimeter columns. 
•    Evidence of squibs observed during the collapse of WTC7 going up the side of the building in rapid sequence provides further confirmation of explosives.
•    In the history of architecture, there is no modern, steel-reinforced high-rise building that has ever collapsed because of an uncontrolled fire.  The owner, Larry Silverstein, admitted that WTC7 was “pulled” which is an industry term for controlled demolition.
•    The temperature required to melt steel is 1510° C while the maximum burning temperature of hydrocarbon fires is 825°C.  (Note: Oxygen-starved diffuse flames burn far cooler as the dark smoke indicated, particularly in the South Tower, and are well below 800°C.) 
•    Evidence of molten steel was found in the basements of all three buildings, WTC 1, 2 (Twin Towers) and 7 which glowed red hot for weeks after the event.
•    Numerous reports of multiple loud explosions in rapid sequence being heard in and near the WTC Twin Towers consistent with explosive demolition.
•    Horizontal ejection of steel beams for hundreds of feet and the pulverization of concrete to flour-like powder observed in the collapses of the WTC Towers further indicate the use of explosives. 

•    Evidence of iron-rich microsheres found in the dust collected near ground zero shortly after 9/11 indicate steel reached temperatures much higher than the combustion temperature of jet fuel.  (This, too, is consistent with planned demolition.)
•    The speed of the collapses was at near free fall speed. This violates the law of conservation of momentum (one of the foundational laws of physics). There would have been substantial delay if the pancake theory were true.
•   If the buildings collapsed due to the impact of the airplanes and the fires, as the pancake theory claims, the 47 massive core steel columns in the centre of the Twin Towers would still be standing.
•    The WTC Twin Towers were built to withstand the impact of a large commercial aircraft even a Boeing 707 as reported by John Knapton, Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Newcastle.

The official story of the Bush administration simply does not make sense as the foregoing scientific evidence clearly reveals.  We are attaching an Appendix to our letter setting out further contradictions and evidence from Dr. David R. Griffin.  This evidence suggests that 9/11 was a false flag operation.  Based on this evidence, we are calling for a legally binding international criminal investigation into the events of September 11, 2001.  Thousands of innocent civilians including 24 Canadians died in this tragic event.  9/11 was one of the most pivotal events in human history.  The United States has launched an unending “War on Terror” which threatens the future of humanity.  War is itself an act of terror.   

There remain many unanswered questions but so far the evidence speaks for itself.  The Bush administration used this tragic event to further its goals in the Middle East and Central Asia, namely, for control over its vast oil and natural gas reserves, the projection of American power and control over the region, profits for the military-industrial complex, and the forced inclusion of those nations into the global financial/economic system.

Consequences of 9/11

The current Conservative government and prior Liberal governments, using 9/11 and the war on terror, have engaged in an illegal war of aggression in Afghanistan in support of a government dominated by warlords and druglords.  We are seeing the erosion of civil liberties in Canada, such as, our military's complicity in the use of torture; anti-terrorism laws; racial profiling; the use of Security Certificates which according to Amnesty International “falls dismally short of what would be required to meet minimal international and constitutional fair trial guarantees”; detention without trial; no-fly lists; militarization of the police forces; and government harassment of activists. 

In violation of our sovereignty, the government is implementing regional integration under the Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement which was established in secret without the consent of the people.  This agreement effectively gives control over every aspect of our society to an unelected and unaccountable supranational body.  The Canadian and US Military have been integrated under NORTHCOM.

Conclusion

We are calling upon you to establish a citizen led international investigation into the events of 9/11 and an end to Canada’s involvement with US war crimes.  Canada needs to develop its own foreign, economic and social policies which promote co-operation, peace, and stability for the sake of our nation and the rest of the world.

A 2004 Zogby poll indicates that 63% of Canadians believe the US administration had advance knowledge of the strikes and did nothing about it. (http://www.zogby.com/search/ReadNews.dbm?ID=855) Let us assure you that most of the public knows the truth and are undergoing an awakening.  When this awakening reaches its natural conclusion, we fully expect there to be trials at the International Criminal Court in the Hague after which many people will go to prison.

We expect you to respond to our letter in support of a new investigation. We are not asking you to take a position as to who did it or why, only to state that the official investigation was deficient and that you support a new investigation. This

is your opportunity to take a stand for justice and against Canada’s involvement with US war crimes. The stakes are high and whether you know it or not you are standing at the crossroads of history.

We are sending an original of this letter to each leader of the four sitting parties, the Canadian Action Party, and the Green Party with a copy to each Member of Parliament.  Enclosed with each original letter is a DVD entitled “9/11 Mysteries” which shows a detailed scientific analysis of the destruction of the WTC Twin Towers and Building 7.

APPENDIX
Dr. David Ray Griffin is a Professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology, Emeritus, at Claremont School of Theology and Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California.  He has written a number of books on 9/11 and the American Empire including The 9/11 Commission Report:  Omissions and Distortions (2005) and Debunking 9/11 Debunking-An Answer to Popular Mechanics and the Other Defenders of the Official Conspiracy Theory (2007).  His extensive analysis of the 9/11 Commission Report has brought him and countless others to the conclusion that the Bush administration is engaged in a serious cover-up of the events of 9/11.  Here is a brief summary of some of the most glaring omissions he found in the 9/11 Commission Report:
•    Evidence that at least six of the alleged hijackers are still alive.
•    The publicly released flight manifests contain no Arab names.
•    The fact that fire has never, before or after 9/11, caused steel-frame buildings to collapse.
•   The fact that the fires in the Twin Towers were not very big, very hot, or very long-lasting compared with fires in several steel-frame buildings that did not collapse.
•    The fact that WTC 7 which was not hit by an airplane and which had only small, localized fires also collapsed and that FEMA admitted it could not explain.
•    Larry Silverstein’s statement that he and the fire department commander decided to ‘pull’ WTC 7.
•    The fact that the Twin Towers and WTC 7 exemplified at least 10 features suggestive of controlled demolition.
•   The fact that the 47 massive steel columns in the core of each of the Twin Towers should have been left standing if in fact the ‘pancake theory’ were true.
•    The steel from the WTC buildings was quickly removed from the crime scene and shipped overseas before it could be analyzed for evidence of explosives.
•    The fact that there are photos showing that the west wing’s façade of the Pentagon did not collapse until 30 minutes after it was struck and also that the entrance hole appears too small for a Boeing 757 to have entered.
•    Testimony which casts serious doubt on whether remains of a Boeing 757 were visible either inside or outside the Pentagon.
•   The fact that pictures from various security cameras, including the camera at the gas station across from the Pentagon, were confiscated by the FBI immediately after the strike and were never made public.
•    The evidence that Hani Hanjour was too poor a pilot to have flown an airliner into the Pentagon.
•   While Osama bin Laden was on the FBI’s ‘most wanted’ list, he was treated in the American Hospital in Dubai and visited by the local CIA agent just two months prior to 9/11.
•    The report that Attorney General Ashcroft was warned to stop using commercial airlines prior to 9/11.
•   There was no mention of the FBI agents who reportedly claimed to have known the targets and dates of the attacks well in advance.
•    Evidence that Pakistan’s intelligence agency (the ISI) chief General Mahmoud Ahmad had ordered $100,000 to be sent to Mohammed Atta, one of the alleged hijackers, prior to 9/11.
•    The Commission’s claim that it found no evidence that any foreign government, including Pakistan, had provided funding for the al Qaeda operatives.
•    The fact that key figures in the Bush administration which were members of The Project for the New American Century published a document in 2000 saying that “a new Pearl Harbor” would aid its goal of obtaining funding for a rapid technological transformation of the US military.
•   The fact that Unocal had declared that the Taliban could not provide adequate security for it to go ahead with its oil-and-gas pipeline from the Caspian region through Afghanistan and Pakistan.
•    The report that at a meeting in July, 2001, US representatives said that because the Taliban refused to agree to a US proposal that would allow the pipeline project to go forward, a war against them would begin by October.
•    Evidence that key members of the Bush administration, including Donald Rumsfeld and his deputy Paul Wolfowitz, had been agitating for a war with Iraq for many years.
•    The fact that Zbigniew Brzezinski in his 1997 book “The Grand Chessboard” said that for the United States to maintain global primacy, it needed to gain control of Central Asia.
•    The Commission failed to probe the issue of how the ‘war games’ scheduled for that day were related to the military’s failure to intercept the hijacked airliners.
•    The fact that FAA personnel failed to follow standard procedures some 16 times.

I am truly horrified at the total lack of interest of this subject here in the US. The media did a wonderful job of BS-ing the public and now anyone who questions the 911 truth theory is called a nutcase. I have known there was something wrong with the whole deal since Sept.12th. 2000. Anyone with any demolition experience could tell that this was a sham. Thank to you for your time and effort.....Tom

I think it is important to keep emotions low and facts in mind. Do I look around me and see a tightening of the noose? Yes, I do. Do I think that 9/11 was used a catalyst for this? Yes, I do. Do I think that it was a plan from the start on behalf of our governments and the business interests gained as a result of this tragedy? No, I do not. I offer you this url to read and consider.

I do not begrudge anyone making money. Certainly there has been enough of that around the 9/11 tragedy. Books have been published concerning so called conspiracies. These folks have and still are making money. Individuals who have capitalized on a situation for their own best interest. I guess you could say that they are Capitalists.
I am sure that many of them feel that they are "revealing the truth". For many others "revealing the truth" is the facade in front of the actual goal. The danger in all of this is that "revealers of the truth" generally rely on limited evidence with which to forward their agenda. to the uninformed it sounds reasonable, almost logical. If one does take an additional moment however, to reconsider and perform simple, basic research, they will find that beneath these so called "truths" are only the fragments of a much bigger picture. A picture that is more complete and certainly more logical in its presentation that any of the conspiracies that I have encountered thus far.
Having said that, I too feel certain that those with a great deal of money, have taken the liberty to make this tragedy an opportunistic venture to further their wealth. As I said earlier, I do not begrudge anyone making money. I do however, begrudge those who would make money while standing above the burial ground of a nation.

He gave a talk about his experience of 9/11 as he worked in the twin towers.This man felt and heard explosions BENEATH HIS FEET WHILE ON THE GROUND FLOOR.
